Philosophy

Creative Community Childcare believes that there are many factors that make the right learning setting for a child and their family. Sensitive, knowledgeable staff, quality equipment and a foundation of respect for all living things is a good place to start. CCC then adds kindness and flexibility to help fine tune the environment to help each child succeed.

Children need structure with reasonable flexibility. They need someone to see their potential and give them opportunities to use their growing skills. They need to try, fail, and learn from new experiences. The successes will feel good and build up their self esteem. The failures will help them learn that obtaining knowledge and skills is an ongoing journey that has many bumps in the road.

Families are important to the Creative Community Childcare program. We want every person involved with the program to feel like CCC at the FUUM is their second home. Parents are not only encouraged to drop by any time, but are also encouraged to sit down and play! Interacting with your child in their space is so important to your child. It helps your child know that this is a place that you like to spend your time at. They see that you value the program so they should too.

CCC believes that with every new day we each have a new opportunity to use what we learned the day(s) before. The most important thing to us is to remember that we all make millions of choices throughout our day. We make hundreds of mistakes. It is how we react to those choices that make us who we are. Those reactions shape our development and help us become lifelong learners.
